Rock Springs Self Storage – Rules and Regulations
For the safety and satisfaction of all customers, the following rules and regulations must be observed at all times. By renting a storage unit or outdoor parking space from Rock Springs, you agree to abide by these terms.
1. Facility Overview
Secure shipping container storage units in two sizes:
- Small Unit: 7.5 ft x 9.5 ft
- Large Unit: 7.5 ft x 19.5 ft
Outdoor parking for large vehicles including RVs, boats, trailers, and commercial trucks.
2. Access Hours
Access is permitted 24/7
No overnight occupancy is permitted under any circumstances.
3. Prohibited Items and Activities
For the safety of all tenants and compliance with local and federal regulations, the following items and activities are strictly prohibited in storage units and on the property:
Prohibited Materials
- Flammable or combustible items (gasoline, propane, diesel, kerosene, fireworks, etc.)
- Hazardous or toxic materials (paint, chemicals, asbestos, biological waste, etc.)
- Explosives, weapons, and ammunition
- Perishable food items
- Illegal substances or contraband
- Live animals or plants
- Unregistered or inoperable vehicles (in outdoor parking)
Prohibited Activities
- Living, sleeping, or loitering in or around the units or parking areas
- Operating businesses or conducting sales from the unit
- Use of generators or any open flames
- Tampering with security features (locks, gates, cameras, etc.)
- Dumping trash or abandoning items on the premises
4. Storage Unit Guidelines
- Renters are responsible for securing their units with a durable lock.
- Insurance for stored items is the responsibility of the tenant. Rock Springs is not liable for theft, damage, or loss.
- Keep your unit clean and organized. Spilled liquids, foul odors, and trash accumulation are not permitted.
- Modifications or alterations to the containers are not allowed.
5. Outdoor Parking Rules
- All vehicles must be registered, insured, and in operable condition.
- Spaces must be used only for vehicle storage—no repairs, maintenance, or washing permitted on-site.
- No dumping of fluids (oil, coolant, etc.)
- Parking space assignments must be respected. Unauthorized use of another space may result in towing.
6. Payments and Fees
- Rent due date is determined at signing
- A late fee of $15 will be charged to the renters account after the 5th calendar day past the rent due date.
- Failure to pay may result in lockout or lien procedures in accordance with state law.
7. Termination and Move-Out
- Tenants must provide at least 3 days’ notice prior to vacating.
- Units must be emptied and left clean and lock-free.
- Abandoned items will be disposed of at the tenant’s expense.
8. Security and Surveillance
The facility is monitored by 24/7 security cameras and controlled access gates. Tenants are responsible for securing their own units and vehicles. Report suspicious behavior or damage immediately to management.
9. Management Rights
Rock Springs reserves the right to:
- Modify these rules at any time with proper notice
- Deny access for violations
- Enter units in the event of an emergency or as permitted by law
